and Critical Realism:\u00a0 Part A<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">This continues my series on &#8220;method&#8221; in theology and science.\u00a0 Here I begin to discuss &#8220;critical realism.&#8221;\u00a0 It will take a few more posts, but I&#8217;ll suggest that while critical realism is a helpful framework, it also entails limitations as a result of separating science &#8220;and&#8221; theology.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Many proponents of \u201cdialogue\u201d models between science and religion identify themselves as \u201ccritical realists,\u201d and this may be the dominant paradigm in the contemporary \u201creligion and science\u201d literature.<a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn1;\" title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\"><span
